“The Right Side of History” is a podcast dedicated to exploring current events through a historical lens and busting left-wing myths about figures and events of America’s past.
On this week’s episode, hosts Jarrett Stepman and Fred Lucas discuss the importance of historical fiction and why it’s a component of America’s soft power. In particular, they talk about how the Westerns of the mid-20th century were a positive reflection of what America was and wanted to be.
Stepman and Lucas were joined by Harry Crocker III, the executive editor of Regnery Publishing, and the author of numerous books, including the recently released “Armstrong.”
“Armstrong” is a fictionalized, pro-American account of the life of George Armstrong Custer as if he had survived the Battle of Little Bighorn. Crocker explains why Custer should get more respect as an American hero, and why recent efforts to destroy history are so dangerous.
Stepman is currently writing a book for Regnery about the war on history.
