Dr. David Gortler is a pharmacologist, pharmacist, and senior fellow in public health policy and regulation with the Center for Health and Welfare Policy at The Heritage Foundation. He is a former Yale University professor of pharmacology and biotechnology and FDA medical officer/senior medical analyst who was later appointed as senior adviser to the FDA commissioner.
