The Pentagon has released names of service members killed so far during Operation Epic Fury.

“It’s with profound sadness and gratitude that I share the names of four of our six fallen heroes, all from the 103rd Sustainment Command, U.S. Army Reserve out of Des Moines, Iowa,” Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Gen. Dan Caine said at a Pentagon press conference Wednesday morning.

“To the families of our fallen, we grieve with you today, and we look forward to welcoming your family members home to Dover [Air Force Base] in the coming days,” Caine said.

The four fallen soldiers are:

The four soldiers were killed on Sunday in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, during an unmanned aircraft system attack, and the “incident is under investigation,” the Pentagon said.

The names of the other two slain soldiers are being withheld until their families are notified.

“As one nation, we grieve for the true American patriots who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, even as we continue the righteous mission for which they gave their lives,” President Donald Trump said during a recent video message shared on social media.

“We pray for the full recovery of the wounded and send our immense love and eternal gratitude to the families of the fallen, and sadly, there will likely be more before it ends,” Trump said.

The U.S. launched Operation Epic Fury with Israel on Saturday, targeting Iran’s nuclear capabilities, military assets, and key leaders.

Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and some of his family members were killed in the strikes.

About 100 hours into the operation, U.S. Central Command announced nearly 2,000 targets had already been struck in Iran.

On Wednesday night, the War Department announced the names of two additional soldiers killed or “believed to be” killed during Operation Epic Fury, bringing the total number of announced U.S. military fatalities to six.

Maj. Jeffrey R. O’Brien of Indianola, Iowa was killed on March 1 at the age of 45 during an unmanned aircraft system attack, according to the Pentagon.

The Pentagon also announced the “believed to be death” of Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert M. Marzan.

Marzan, 54, of Sacramento, California “was at the scene of the incident on March 1, 2026, in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, and is believed to be the individual who perished at the scene,” the Pentagon reports.

A medical examiner will confirm the identity of the body believed to be Marzan, who was also assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command, Des Moines, Iowa.

This story has been updated with the names of two additional service members.
